Not going to be in to collect a parcel? Don’t miss out on Christmas goodies; get a Keepsafe

Tips • 14th Dec, 18 • 0 Comments

With Royal Mail services you needn’t miss out on receiving Christmas gifts or leave them to pile up outside your door, especially in this wintery weather! A Royal Mail Keepsafe will hold onto your precious items and mail for up to 10 days or even to 100 days – the choice is yours. There’s plenty of fun festive day outs to plan this month, meaning that you may not be in the office or at home or you may be spending Christmas abroad, so take Royal Mail’s advice and don’t chance those important deliveries! Five days’ notice is required for a Keepsafe, so don’t hesitate to get your mail sorted - find out more below.

Held with care, no chance to get lost

Your Keepsafe items will be held in secure offices, with strict processes in place so no items will be damaged or taken out early by someone else. If you are available earlier than expected to receive your mail, you can stop your Keepsafe then Royal Mail will be out to deliver your held mail.

Protect your identity

The last thing you need during the festive period is having your mail or identity stolen – it’s not difficult for a fraudster to steal your identity from just one piece of mail with your name and address displayed. Be smart, choose a Keepsafe for postage that is arriving whilst you are away.

Manage all employee or household mail

If your employees have placed orders in their name or if another household member has placed an order, you can still take care of all their mail within the Keepsafe. You should include the full names of everyone whose mail you want held. You need to do this even if you tick the box to include everyone at the address.

Easy to apply online

To ensure that you receive all of your mail for your business or personal items, you can set up either a standard Keepsafe or a business Keepsafe depending on whether you need Royal Mail to hold your company’s mail or your home’s. Quick tip - if you work from home you will need to apply for a business Keepsafe.
